Essential Skills

• Power Protect (Data Domain ) , Networker ,Avamar, Power Protect Data Manager & ProtectPoint.
• Strong understanding of Oracle /SQL databases ,ESX virtual infrastructure , NAS filesystem, VMware hosts , Kubernetes , MS Exchange, and MS SharePoint data protection procedures
• Good knowledge in setting up immutable backup.
• Good experience in security Harding and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with all aspects of system administration, including Linux and Windows.
• Conducts restore for Windows, Linux and NDMP filesystem; Oracle, SQL ,VM's, Unstructured & Exchange databases
• Contact vendors in providing support for Backup and Storage software and hardware-related problems
• Provide technical support for incidents and problems involving backup and storage.
• Keep records of operational best practices and procedures.
• Join in On-call support

Desired Requirements

• Strong Interpersonal, analytical and investigation skills, with a structured approach to troubleshooting.
• Practical experience on scripting using BASH, Python, Powershell etc.
• Good experience in both Windows server and Linux OS.
• Good experience with networking technologies.

• Analyzes inefficient processes and procedures and introduce automation to improve.
• Identifies data critical to capacity forecasting, asset management and procurement.
• Support IT managers and IT senior management with planning and reporting.
• Ensure that the technical environment is properly maintained and correctly designed.
• Analyzes performance problems and oversee the development and correct use of tools to resolve these issues.
• Leads the design of the computing infrastructure, collaborating closely with architects on project design and technical direction.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• Provides expertise in cross-functional and intra-departmental efforts, interfacing with consultants and architects.
• Strong understanding and competence in virtual computing environment.
